Horizontal axes between 0.70 and 0.80 metres. If the bar is near a toilet, the distance between the centreline of the toilet bowl and the grab bar must be between 0.40 m and 0.45 metres.
According to the French Decree of April 20, 2017, Article 12 :
"The bar is located at a height between 0.70 m and 0.80 m. Its fixing and the support allow an adult to lean with their full weight. The distance between the centreline of the toilet bowl and the grab bar is between 0.40 m and 0.45 m."
