Recommended installation heights for coat hooks / coat racks.

→ For able-bodied persons:
Top of the coat hooks at 150 cm for men, 130 cm for women, and 90 cm for children over 7 years old.




→ For persons with reduced mobility (PRM / WCH / WHU):
Top of the coat hooks at 110 cm and more than 40 cm from a corner.

According to the French Decree of April 20, 2017, Article 4 :
"Manual control devices made available to the public shall meet the following requirements :
- they are located more than 0.40 m from an internal corner of walls or any other obstacle to wheelchair approach;
- they are located at a height between 0.90 m and 1.30 m;
- they are identifiable and detectable."
